• The Rangers defeated the Philadelphia Flyers, 7-0, today at Madison Square Garden to improve to 35-29-4 overall, including a 15-16-3 mark at home.  The Blueshirts have won each of their last two games, tallying 11 goals for and allowing just one goal against in those games.
• Today marked the eighth time this season New York registered six or more goals in a game, which is the most since they tallied six or more in nine games during the 1998-99 season.
• Ryan Callahan notched his first career hat trick with four goals, and added an assist for a career-high, five points.  Callahan opened the game’s scoring with an even strength tally just 51 seconds into the first period, and notched two power play goals at 12:58 of the first period and 4:20 of the third.  He completed his first career hat trick with an unassisted tally at 6:28 of the second period.  Callahan also posted a plus-three rating, and tied for the game-high with five shots on goal.  He has now registered 16 points (10 goals, six assists) in 16 games since returning from injury on Feb. 1, including 14 points (eight goals, six assists) in the last 11 contests.  The Rangers improved to 11-3-1 when Callahan tallies a goal, and are 18-6-1 when he records a point.
• Callahan’s four goal, five point performance tied the Rangers’ season high, previously established by Marian Gaborik on Jan. 19 vs. Toronto (W, 7-0).
• Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 24 shots to post his league-leading, ninth shutout of the season, and 33rd of his career to improve to 27-23-4 overall, including an 11-13-3 mark at home.  He moved past John Ross Roach into third on the Rangers’ all-time shutouts list with 36 career shutouts (including three career playoff shutouts).
• Eleven different Blueshirts recorded at least one point, including four who registered two or more.  The last time the Rangers had 11 players with at least one point was on Dec. 27 vs. the Islanders (W, 7-2).  New York also had six players who posted a plus-two rating or better, and the Rangers posted a plus-24 rating as a team.
• The Rangers notched two power play goals in five attempts, and are now 5-17 (29.4%) with the man advantage in the last five games.
• Mats Zuccarello registered his first career multi-goal game with two goals, and posted a plus-two rating and four shots on goal.  He has now recorded 11 points (three goals, eight assists) in the last 17 games, including three goals in the last two games.
• Artem Anisimov tallied one goal, added an assist and posted a plus-three rating and a game-high-tying, five shots on goal.  He has now registered four points (three goals, one assist) in the last four games.  The Rangers improved to 12-2-1 when he tallies a goal, and are 18-5-2 when he registers a point.
• Vinny Prospal recorded two power play assists to extend his scoring streak to four games, registering five points (one goal, four assists) over the span.  He has tallied 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 15 games since returning from injury on Feb. 3., including eight points (two goals, six assists) in the last seven contests.
• Seven Rangers – Dan Girardi, Brandon Dubinsky, Ruslan Fedotenko, Ryan McDonagh, Bryan McCabe, Wojtek Wolski, and Matt Gilroy – registered one assist apiece in the contest.  McDonagh also posted a career-high, plus-four rating in his return to the lineup after missing a 4-1 win at Ottawa due to a knee injury.  Wolski has now recorded four assists in the last four games.
• Please note the Blueshirts do not have practice scheduled for tomorrow, Mar. 7.  The Rangers’ next practice is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Mar. 8, at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.
