CHAPPELL HEADING BACK TO CHARLOTTE

In a move that is not unexpected, Chris Chappell has been returned to the Charlotte Checkers so that the can continue to develop. Chappell has been sitting for a few games now and he needs to be playing so this will get him back in the contest.

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Chris Chappell from the Wolf Pack to the team’s ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Chappell joined the Wolf Pack for his latest stint November 9, and has skated in a total of six games with the Pack, going scoreless with five penalty minutes and two shots on goal. In five ECHL games with Charlotte, the rookie out of the Ontario Hockey League has one goal and one assist for two points and is +1.

Chappell signed as a free agent with the Rangers July 2, after tallying 38 goals and 38 assists for 76 points in 68 games with the OHL’s Saginaw Spirit last season.
