Hartford Wolf Pack CT LotteryNEW YORK RANGERS TRANSACTION AND PRACTICE UPDATE

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Jeremy Williams has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Williams, 26, made his Rangers debut in last night’s 3-1 win vs. New Jersey at Madison Square Garden after being recalled from the Wolf Pack earlier in the day.  He returns to Hartford ranked first and tied for 15th in the AHL with four goals, and is tied for second on the Wolf Pack in scoring with six points.  He is also tied for the Wolf Pack lead and 14th in the league with two power play goals.  Williams recorded his first point with Hartford in his season debut, tallying the game winning goal, on the power play, in a 4-2 win on October 9 vs. Charlotte.  He registered a point in four of his first five games of the season, recording three goals and two assists over the span, including his first multi-point performance with Hartford on October 17 (one goal and one assist).

The Regina, Saskatchewan native was originally Toronto’s seventh round choice, 220th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Rangers practice schedule for tomorrow, October 26, is 11:00 a.m. at the MSG Training Center.
