New York, NY – According to the sports site, theScore, the New York Rangers have signed Western Michigan University, forward, Austin Rueschhoff, to a two-year entry-level contract that will start with the 2020-21 season.

Rueschhoff, a 6-foot-7, 230-pound junior, is 22-years-old and a right-wing. Last season he registered 26 points (12 goals, 14 assists) in 36 games, a plus-9, and 24 PIMs.

A Wentzville, Missouri native, Rueschhoff is an undrafted free agent. Over the past three summers, he’s attended NHL development camps with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2017, the St. Louis Blues in 2018, and the Columbus Blue Jackets last year.

Rueschhoff had a goal in an 8-4 win over the University of Miami (Ohio) on March 7 which proved to be his final game when the NCAA canceled the rest of the season on March 12, much like the rest of the hockey world, as a result of the coronavirus.
