SHELLEY: (2/5) RABBITS ADD A PARCELLS…NOT BILL

GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, ECHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, announced today that the club has acquired defenseman Adam Parsells from the Toledo Walleye in exchange for future considerations.

Parsells, 25, joins the Swamp Rabbits amidst his first full professional season, where he has tallied five points (2g, 3a) in 18 games for Toledo and appearing in an additional game for the Indy Fuel. This season, the Wausau, WI native made two showings in the American Hockey League with the San Jose Barracuda.

A 6’6”, 192-pound defenseman, Parsells made his professional debut with the Utah Grizzlies in a 5-4 loss to the Allen Americans on March 13, 2021, after a four-year tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Parsells appeared in 88 games in his collegiate career and totaled 58 points (20g 38a) before turning professional.

Parsells was selected in the sixth round (#160) of the 2015 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks after two full seasons in the USHL with the Chicago Steel and the Green Bay Gamblers.
