WolfpackThe Wolf Pack have made a couple of moves prior to this evening’s first preseason contest against Worcester sending prospects Evgeny Grachev and Antoine LeFleur back to their respective junior teams.

Grachev and Lafleur Assigned to Junior Teams

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Evgeny Grachev from the Wolf Pack to the Brampton Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League. Also, goaltender Antoine Lafleur has been returned to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Those moves leave the Wolf Pack with 44 players on the training camp roster:

The Wolf Pack begin their four-game preseason schedule tonight, with a 7:00 PM game vs. the Worcester Sharks at the Koeppel Community Sports Center, located on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford. The game will benefit the Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund, and donations will be accepted at the door in lieu of an admission charge. The fund was established in memory of young Wolf Pack fan Ryan Gordon, who passed away in 2006 and asked that a portion of the monies set aside for his college education be donated to the Wolf Pack Community Foundation. There will also be a special pregame ceremony tonight, honoring Ryan’s memory and the establishment of the fund.
