MEDIA DAY

WolfpackThis was the day that the Hartford Wolf Pack roll out all the goodies for the local media. Howlings was invited to participate but unfortunately could not attend due to scheduling conflicts. However, Brian Ring of the Wolf Pack was kind enough to forward to Howlings readers what went down.

According to Brian,

It was Media Day in Hartford at the XL Center this afternoon. It was a pretty decent crowd that turned out. Among the dignitaries were all the players, most of the local writers and the TV guys.

The voice of the Wolf Pack, Bob Crawford spoke first. He briefly shared with the crowd the history of the franchise.

Later, Chuck Steedman, General Manager for Northland AEG LLC, spoke about the inevitable hope and possibilities that arise with the fresh start of each new season. He discussed how happy he was to be working in hockey.

Last, but certainly not least, was Head Coach Ken Gernander who talked in glowing terms about his new squad. He mentioned it with conviction in his words saying that the team had an excellent training camp. He commented on the fact that they looked to be a very cohesive unit, even with the new players. He has seen growth already in some of the younger players on the team. It looks to be shaping up as a good year for Hartford hockey.

Thank you Brian
