WolfpackIn a bit of a surprise, Tysen Dowzak ,who looked impressive enough during training camp to make the team in HArtford has been assigned to CHarlotte. THe Pack loss is CHarlotte’s gain.

Howlings will be doing a season preview feature on the Checkers with GM/Head Coach Derek Wilkinson later this week, so keep checking back.

WOLF PACK ASSIGN TYSEN DOWZAK TO CHARLOTTE OF ECHL

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has loaned defenseman Tysen Dowzak to its ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Dowzak, a first-year pro out of Kelowna of the Western Hockey League, had appeared in one game with the Wolf Pack, his pro debut October 11th vs. Springfield, in which he was scoreless with two penalty minutes. Last season with Kelowna, Dowzak registered 13 assists and 91 penalty minutes in 68 WHL contests.

The Wolf Pack return to action tomorrow night, Wednesday, October 22nd, visiting Worcester for a 7:05 game. All the action of that contest can be heard live in HD radio on WTIC HD 2, and on-line at wtic.com. A live video webcast of the game is available at ahllive.com.

The Pack return home to the XL Center this Friday night, October 24th to host the Philadelphia Phantoms in a 7:00 game. That is “Pink in the Rink” night, to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
