MURRAY DEMOTED

WOLF PACK ASSIGN DEFENSEMAN CHRIS MURRAY TO CHARLOTTE

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has loaned defenseman Chris Murray to its ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

A second-year pro out of the University of New Hampshire, Murray has skated in 12 games this year for the Wolf Pack, contributing four assists and registering 19 penalty minutes and a +4.

The Wolf Pack return to action tomorrow night, Wednesday, November 19th, at the XL Center, taking on Coach Kevin Dineen’s Portland Pirates.  Faceoff is 7:00, and starting with this game, adult tickets can be purchased for as low as $10 each.  This offer is good for all Pack home games through January 2nd.

(This lends us to think that since the team does not have  any extra  defenseman on the AHL level another move may be immanent)

  1. Re:”the team does not have any extra defenseman on the AHL level” – is Urquhart injured or demoted? Whatever, its great Sauer’s back, Fahey’s healthy and Graham is satisfying the coaches

  2. elsie,
When you’re right, you’re right… I owe David a giant apology. I ust spent some time with him too and he totally skipped my mind. It makes sense that Urquhart has earned the spot at this level. He’s a solid contributor and a talented young player. Murray is too but he just didn’t seem to be contributing at this level. Let’s see how he responds to the demotion and when he gets his chance back here how he plays.
