MIIKA FEELING BETTER…

Miika Wiikman has been under the weather and must be feeling better as the Pack have moved Maxime Daigneault back to Charlotte.

Here’s the official release:

WOLF PACK RETURN GOALTENDER MAXIME DAIGNEAULT TO ECHL CHARLOTTE

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has returned goaltender Maxime Daigneault on loan to its ECHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers.

Daigneault made his first appearance in a Wolf Pack uniform in yesterday’s 5-3 defeat at Lowell, playing the final two periods in relief of Matt Zaba.  Daigneault allowed two goals on 21 shots and absorbed the loss.  In 17 games with Charlotte, the fifth-year pro is 8-8-0, with a 3.20 goals-against average and an 89.9% save percentage, and has won seven of his last nine decisions.

*** According to various sources, Sean Avery has cleared waivers. It's a HUGE surprise…I know…

*** In a related story there's been no official word from the Wolf Pack organization as to which migraine medicine Ken Gernander has chosen to stockpile…More as this story develops.
