ZUCCARELLO SENT “PACKING” TO GO WHALE-ING

It was a decent start for the Connecticut Whale’s Mats Zuccarello. He played well offensively and didn’t have a problem with the physical aspect of the game. Zuccarello’s problem came about defensively when he backed off Vinny LeCavalier in front of the net and allowed the Tampa Bay captain position that led to the go-ahead goal by the Lightning.

After the game, Zuccarello, as many had assumed, was sent back to Hartford.

Not bad for a first effort for “The Norwegian Hobbit.”
