NEWBURY BACK TO NEW YORK

According to the beat reporters in New York, Kris Newbury has been recalled and will play tomorrow night against the LA Kings.

What is going to be interesting is if Newbury s back in time for Friday’s game against Adirondack or the WhaleBowl on Saturday.

The reporters also said there were only two players considered for the call-up and Head Coach John Tortorella would not say who it was.

It’s really between one of two players.

Brodie Dupont has had 10 points (4g, 6a) in his last eight games and has been superb all over the ice.

Dale Weise has 9 points (3g, 6a) in his last six games. Weise also missed three games with the shingles and is really trying to get his game back in step to where it was. He’s on a tear also and if he were 100% on his game this would be a no –brainer, but given the current situation as it is, Dupont is the one we would bet was under consideration.

More on this story later.
