DANBURY WHALERS GOALIE MOVIN’ ON UP

Danbury WhalersThe Danbury Whalers have announced that goaltender Peter Vetri has signed an agreement with the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.  Binghamton is the top farm club for the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League.

Vetri is the 2nd Danbury Whalers player called up to the AHL this season joining Mike Sellito who was joined the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.

With recent call-ups of Vetri and forward Marty Moucha, the Danbury Whalers have had 12 players promoted this season.

Vetri was on the bench tonight when Binghamton took on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins

In 2 regular season games for Danbury, Vetri was 2-0-0 with 0.50 GAA and .981 save %.  Vetri played all 5 Danbury playoff games with a 4.35 GAA and .892 save%.
