EDDY GOES FROM PHANTOM TO ROAD WARRIOR

GREENVILLE, SC The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that defenseman Cullen Eddy has been assigned to the team by the Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

Eddy comes to Greenville after playing in two games with Adirondack to begin the season. He had an assist and a +2 rating in the Phantoms’ season-opening 6-3 win over the Connecticut Whale on October 8, 2011. A second-year pro from Hidden Valley, Pennsylvania, Eddy has played in 49 games with the Phantoms in his career and has earned 11 points (3G, 8A) and 42 penalty minutes.

The 6-0, 195-pound defender played in 16 games with Greenville to begin the 2010-11 season and posted four points (1G, 3A). He scored the game-winning goal on October 29, 2010 against South Carolina for his first pro goal. Eddy was promoted to Adirondack on Dec. 29, 2010 and remained there for the rest of the season. He also played seven regular season games, and eight playoff games, for the Cincinnati Cyclones at the end of the 2009-10 season following his collegiate career at Mercyhurst College.
