On the positive side, this should make Charlotte an even deeper and stronger team. Speaking of the Checkers, Howlings will have an exclusive interview coming up with GM/Head Coach Derek Wilkinson later on this week. If you’d like to submit a question for Wilky to answer feel free t osubmit it via the comments section and they’ll get presented.
Here is the official release:
BARNES AND JÄMTIN ASSIGNED TO CHARLOTTE OF ECHL
Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forwards Joe Barnes and Andreas Jämtin from the Wolf Pack to the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL.
Jämtin was scoreless with four penalty minutes in three games with the Wolf Pack. Barnes had suited up for one game with the Pack and had no points or penalty minutes.
The Wolf Pack are back in action at the XL Center tonight, taking on the Philadelphia Phantoms in a 7:00 game. It’s “Pink in the Rink” night, in support of the Connecticut affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. There will be an auction of special pink items, with the proceeds going to support breast cancer awareness and the quest for a cure for breast cancer. Also, fans who wear pink to the game will receive a discount of $5 off adult tickets in the Red or Blue sections. This offer is valid at the XL Center box office only.
The Pack are also home tomorrow night, Saturday, October 25th, for an Atlantic-Division battle with the Manchester Monarchs (7:00).

Based on what I’ve seen, I’d take Jamtin and Barnes over Sugden and DiDiomete.
You can’t really compare the four of them. Two of them are there just to goon it up and the other two are expected impact players.
I was not at all impressed with DiDiomete’s hockey sense taking the extra two minute penalty that put the Pack down two men after Sugden took a penalty leaving the team 2 short for two minutes…
