Zaborsky is slight at 6’1” 190 pounds but he has speed and the ability to get himself open. He is still a work in progress and will be given an opportunity to compete for a job. He’s an interesting young man with a terrific personality and even has his own website at tomaszaborsky.com.
As if the Sean Avery debut game didn’t have enough excitement behind it, the Pack will give the first 2,500 fans through the XL Center doors a Nigel Dawes bobblehead. Dawes, who has scored eight goals and added nine assists for 17 points in 44 games with the Rangers this year, played most of his first two pro seasons with the Wolf Pack, and suited up for 20 games with the Pack last season before becoming a regular in the Ranger lineup. Dawes ranks fourth all-time in Wolf Pack history in points and goals, with career totals of 76 goals and 85 assists for 161 points in 166 games in a Pack uniform.

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the parent New York Rangers have reassigned forward Tomas Zaborsky to the Wolf Pack from the Dayton Bombers of the ECHL.
Zaborsky, a 6-1, 190-pound rookie and a fifth-round Ranger draft selection (137th overall) in 2006, had 10 goals and six assists for 16 points, along with 14 penalty minutes, in 19 games with the Bombers. Prior to joining Dayton, the 21-year-old native of Trencin, Slovakia totaled four goals and eight assists for 12 points, and registered 14 PIM, in 28 ECHL games with Charlotte.
Zaborsky played two AHL games with the Wolf Pack last season, contributing one assist. That was after an Ontario Hockey League campaign with Saginaw that saw Zaborsky post totals of 31-39-70, with 42 PIM, in 68 games.
In other Pack related news, former Wolf Pack / NY Rangers forward Ryan Hollweg has been put on waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs.
