GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits announced the team’s 2021 Opening Night roster on Thursday ahead of Saturday’s game against the South Carolina Stingrays.
The Swamp Rabbits see several returners from the 2020-21 season and have made vital additions during the offseason. In addition, the 2021 Opening Night roster features seven rookie skaters who will look to make their professional debuts during the 2021-22 season.
Forwards:
Matt Bradley, Shawn Cameron, Ben Freeman, Dallas Gerads, Gavin Gould, Brett Kemp, Frédéric Létourneau, Justin Nachbaur, Liam Pecararo, Anthony Rinaldi, Dean Yakura, Max Zimmer
Defensemen:
Ethan Cap, Roshen Jaswal, Christian Kåsastul, Kevin McKernan, Alec Rauhauser, Bryce Reddick, Bobby Russell
Goaltenders:
John Lethemon, Tyriq Outen
The offense sees the team’s leading scorer from a season ago, Matt Bradley, return to the lineup with fellow Greenville veterans Liam Pecararo and Max Zimmer. The trio combined for 116 total points and 54 goals during the 2020-21 season.
Defensively, the Swamp Rabbits will rally behind the veteran presence of Bryce Reddick to lead a large contingent of fresh faces in navy and orange. Kevin McKernan and Alec Rauhauser return to the blue line, while Christian Kåsastul, Ethan Cap, Bobby Russell, and Roshen Jaswal look to earn their keep.
John Lethemon returns for a second season between the pipes for the Swamp Rabbits, while rookie Tyriq Outen will look to make a solid first impression on Head Coach Andrew Lord and the Greenville fan base.
TICKETS:
The Swamp Rabbits begin the 2021-22 season on Saturday, October 23, at the North Charleston Coliseum against South Division rival the South Carolina Stingrays before returning to Bon Secours Wellness Arena on Friday, October 29 for the home opener against the Jacksonville Icemen.
