NEW YORK RANGERS POST-GAME NOTES
November 5, 2010 – New York Rangers 3, New Jersey Devils 0 (Game No. 13, Away No. 7)

*   The Rangers shutout the New Jersey Devils, 3-0, tonight at the Prudential Center to improve to 7-5-1 overall, including a 5-2-0 mark on the road.  The Blueshirts have won six of their last nine games, posting a record of 6-3-0 during the stretch.
*    New York has won 15 of their last 22 meetings with New Jersey since the start of the 2007-08 season, posting a record of 15-5-2 vs. the Devils, including a 7-3-1 mark at New Jersey during the stretch.  Henrik Lundqvist, who has started in each of the Rangers’ last 27 games against the Devils, has registered a 2.08 goals against average, .927 save percentage and five shutouts in the 22-game stretch.

*     Lundqvist turned aside all 33 shots he faced to post his second shutout of the season and 26th of his career, and improve to 6-4-1 overall.  He has stopped 30 or more shots in eight of his 11 appearances this season and is now 5-2-0 in his last seven starts, registering a 1.87 goals against average, .937 save percentage and two shutouts over the span.  Lundqvist, who has posted a record of 4-2-1 in seven road games, has posted both of his shutouts this season away from MSG.
*    The Rangers’ goaltender improved his career record vs. New Jersey to 20-7-5 with a 1.83 goals against average, .936 save percentage and five shutouts in 32 regular season appearances.
*    Brandon Dubinsky notched his third, two-goal performance of the season, led all skaters with six shots, led all forwards with 20:54 of ice time, and registered a plus-two rating.  Dubinsky opened the game’s scoring with an even strength tally at 7:35 of the first period, and recorded his second shorthanded goal of the season at 3:41 of the third period.  The two goals tied Dubinsky’s career- high, having accomplished the feat seven times in just over four seasons.  He has now registered 10 points (seven goals, three assists) in the last eight games, including six goals in the last five contests. Dubinsky is now tied for the NHL lead with 10 goals and second with two shorthanded goals, and is tied for 10th in the league in scoring with 14 points in 13 games.
*    Brian Boyle tallied a power play goal with 36 seconds remaining in the second period, and now ranks second on the team with five goals on the season.
*     Boyle’s power play goal was the Rangers’ seventh in their last eight games, registering a 22.6% (7- 31) success rate over the span.
*     Artem Anisimov registered two assists, including one on Boyle’s power play goal, & has now tallied eight points (two goals, six assists) in the last nine games, including six assists in the last six.
*     Defenseman Dan Girardi tallied the primary assist on Boyle’s power play goal, registered a plus-two rating and led all skaters with 27:23 of ice time.  Girardi leads the team in average ice time (24:28), and ranks second among Rangers’ defensemen with five assists and six points on the season.
*     Alex Frolov and Todd White each registered one assist in the win.  Frolov assisted on Dubinsky’s game winning goal at 7:35 of the first period.  White recorded the only assist on Dubinsky’s shorthanded goal at 3:41 of the third period, and registered four shots in his return to the lineup after not dressing last night at Philadelphia.
*     Marc Staal recorded a season-high, plus-two rating and logged 25:13 of ice time.
*     After an off day tomorrow, the Rangers will return home to face-off against the St. Louis Blues on Sunday, Nov. 7, at Madison Square Garden (7:00 p.m.), to begin a four-game homestand. Prior to the game, the Blueshirts’ morning skate is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the MSG Training Center.  The four-game homestand is the Rangers’ longest of the season.  The contest will be televised live on MSG Network, and can be heard on 1050 ESPN Radio.
