WILKY GETS A RINGER

The 6’0″ 170 pound Left Wing was sent down to Charlotte today by the Hartford Wolf Pack and will be in the lineup for the Checkers when they take on Gwinnett in Game Two of their Best-of-Five series.

Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack has returned forward Jordan Owens on loan to the Charlotte Checkers of the ECHL.

In 41 games with the Wolf Pack this year, Owens, a rookie out of the Ontario Hockey League, has contributed seven goals and seven assists for 14 points and has logged 44 penalty minutes. In 20 ECHL games with Charlotte, Owens tallied three goals and added ten assists for 13 points and served 28 minutes in penalties.

The Pack wrap up the regular season with three games this week, starting with a visit Friday night to Springfield (7:30 PM faceoff). The Wolf Pack’s final regular-season home game is this Saturday night, April 12th, a GEICO Connecticut Cup skirmish with Bridgeport at 7:00. That is the Pack’s annual “Fan Appreciation Night”, as the Wolf Pack players give the “Shirts Off Our Backs” to 29 lucky fans.

Wolf Pack single-game tickets, and tickets for the Pack’s first two home playoff games (Wednesday, April 16th and Thursday, April 17th vs. Portland), are on sale at the XL Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, including Macy’s at the Buckland Hills Mall and at the Westfarms Mall.
