The Wolf Pack have announced their pre-season schedule and as is always the case, this team is interested in doing some good work for the community as two of the games will be for charity.
Here’s the official release.
Northland AEG announced today the 2008 pre-season schedule for the Hartford Wolf Pack. The slate includes two home games and two away contests, with the Pack’s home games to be played at Trinity College in Hartford and Champions Skating Center in Cromwell, CT.
The pre-season schedule begins Wednesday, October 1st, with the Wolf Pack hosting the Worcester Sharks at 7:00 PM at the Koeppel Community Sports Center, located on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford. This game will benefit the Ryan Gordon/Hartford Wolf Pack Community Scholars Fund, and donations will be accepted at the door in lieu of an admission charge. The fund was established in memory of young Wolf Pack fan Ryan Gordon, who passed away in 2006 and asked that a portion of the monies set aside for his college education be donated to the Wolf Pack Community Foundation. The game on October 1st will include a special ceremony honoring the establishment of the fund. Directions to the Koeppel Community Sports Center can be found on-line on their website.
The Pack then hit the road for a pair of tilts, the first being Friday, October 3rd vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers at the Northford Ice Pavilion in Northford, CT. That game faces off at 7:00. Following that, on Saturday, October 4th, the Wolf Pack visit Worcester for a 7:00 game at Loring Arena in Framingham, MA.
The Wolf Pack’s pre-season slate concludes with a home game vs. Bridgeport Sunday, October 5th at Champions Skating Center in Cromwell, with faceoff at 4:30 PM. Admission to that game is $5, and proceeds benefit Connecticut Clippers Youth Hockey. Champions Skating Center is located at 6 Progress Drive in Cromwell.

Also in Pack related news, former Rangers second round pick Bruce Graham has moved on. Gerry Cantlon was kind enough to forward Howlings the heads up via our good friend Bruce Berlet, that according to the Times&Transcript in Canada, having received no offers from either an NHL or AHL team, Graham has signed to play for the Gwinett Gladiators of the ECHL.
Cantlon also forwarded the information that Ryan Constant joins ex-Pack D-Man Jake Taylor as he has signed with the Springfield Falcons.
