CHECKERS LAUNCH “PROJECT GIVE BACK” TO BENEFIT CHECKMATE CHARITIES
Team Partner Priority Payment Systems Brings Program To Life
Over the course of the last four seasons, the Charlotte Checkers have donated over $1.5 million to local charities, schools, community organizations and youth hockey groups in the Charlotte community. Beginning this offseason, the Checkers will add to that total by announcing “Project Give Back” in conjunction with new corporate partner Priority Payment Systems.
The Checkers’ “Project Give Back” program is an innovative win-win opportunity for local businesses to support the work of Checkmate Charities, the team’s charitable foundation. Priority Payment Systems offers reduced credit card processing costs and superior service levels and the company has committed a significant percentage of their profits to be paid back to Checkmate Charities on a monthly recurring basis.
Both organizations have demonstrated a history of broad-based community support. Full details on “Project Give Back” can be found at www.gocheckers.com/projectgiveback.
“The Charlotte Checkers strive to provide the most affordable family entertainment value for our fans and the best advertising value for our partners,” said Aaron Osborne, Checkers senior vice president. “Project Give Back will allow us the opportunity to provide partners with another resource for cost savings; most importantly though, it will allow us to continue to positively impact the local community through Checkmate Charities.”
“We always knew we wanted to give back to the community when the time was right,” said John V. Priore, president and CEO of Priority Payment Systems. “Project Give Back evolved from the great response we received in the marketplace, and the opportunity we saw within the business model. We are pleased to partner with the Charlotte Checkers to support the causes that are important to the team.”
Priority Payment Systems is a premier provider of payment processing services. Their wide range of payment options, advanced point-of-sale solutions, and superior customer service have helped them become one of the fastest growing processors in the industry. Priority is lead by a team of executives with over 100 years of combined experience in the payment industry.
Charlotte (5-4) will host Cincinnati again on Tuesday, Apr. 27 and Wednesday, Apr. 28, if necessary. Ticket information can be obtained by calling 704-342-4-ICE or visiting www.gocheckers.com/playoffs.
