The Greenville Road Warriors and MeiGray Group, which directs the ECHL-MGG Game-Worn Jersey Program, have introduced a unique auction of Greenville’s Inaugural Game-Worn Jerseys, game-used and goal-scored pucks, and autographed programs from the franchise’s victorious Inaugural Night.

The Road Warriors opened the 2010-11 ECHL season wearing an historic and unique set of their white jerseys with blue and copper trim throughout their 4-1 victory over the Florida Everblades at Bi-Lo Center. For this Inaugural Game only, the Road Warriors wore jerseys with a one-of-a-kind Inaugural Game patch commemorating the October 21, 2010 franchise start.

This unique set, the first jerseys ever worn by the franchise, is now up for bid. The auction has begun at www.auction.nhl.com  It can also be found by clicking the link at www.greenvilleroadwarriors.com, www.meigray.com, and www.echl.com

The auction ends on Wednesday, November 17 beginning at 9 pm ET.

Here’s what’s up for bid from the Franchise’s Historic Opening Night:

· Eighteen game-worn jerseys, including the jersey worn by captain TJ Reynolds and the jersey worn by Matt Scheple, who scored two goals and was named the game’s first star. Every jersey has the unique Inaugural Game patch affixed over the right breast.

· Six game-issued jerseys of players who were on the team, but not in the Inaugural Game lineup. Every jersey has the unique Inaugural Game patch affixed over the right breast.

· The first puck ever used in an ECHL game by the Greenville Road Warriors. Referee Ryan Murphy started the game by dropping this puck, and it was removed from the ice after the first whistle and immediately authenticated by MeiGray.

· Seven other game-used pucks removed from the ice by an official and immediately authenticated.

· Four of the five pucks that were used to score the goals in the game. Each goal was taken from the net after the goal and immediately authenticated. The first goal in Road Warriors history, by Matt Schepke, was presented to Owner/President/GM Neil Smith after the game for the franchise’s trophy case.

· Twenty-one uniquely autographed Inaugural Game programs, each with an Inaugural Game lineup insert, that was signed and dated by a member of the Road Warriors hours before the game. The 18 players who dressed for the game, Owner/President/GM Neil Smith, Coaches Dean Stork (head coach) and Jason Spence (assistant coach), and Rowdy the Road Dog, are the 21 autographed Inaugural Game programs available.
