TOMORROW’S GAME:
The Rangers will face-off against the Atlanta Thrashers tomorrow, Jan. 22, at Philips Arena (7:00 p.m.), in the second game of their three-game road trip. The Blueshirts currently rank third in the Atlantic Division standings, and sixth in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 27-19-3 (57 pts). The Rangers enter tomorrow’s contest having been defeated by the Carolina Hurricanes, 4-1, on Thursday at RBC Center, to conclude their league-high, 13th back-to-back set of the season. New York has registered a point in 22 of their last 34 games (20-12-2), and are now 10-6-2 in their last 18. The Thrashers enter the contest with a 23-18-8 (54 pts) record to rank eighth in the Eastern Conference, and have lost five of their last six games.
