GREENVILLE, SC – With the 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs rapidly approaching, the Greenville Road Warriors announce that playoff ticket packages are on sale beginning tonight at their home game against the South Carolina Stingrays. Additionally, season ticket packages are also on sale for the 2011-12 season and those who renew or buy new season tickets can get playoff tickets for free!
“Everyone with the Road Warriors is thrilled by the on-ice success the team has enjoyed during its first season in Greenville. With the playoffs right around the corner we are offering some great playoff packages so that our wonderful fans can share in the excitement with us,” said Road Warriors president and general manager Neil Smith.
Fans can purchase playoff packages for the entire playoff schedule, or on a round-by-round basis with each option offering discounts from the face value ticket prices. The biggest savings, though, are for those who renew or buy new season tickets for the 2011-12 season.
Fans who purchase their season tickets and pay for them in full by March 25, 2011, and commit to purchasing all games during the 2011 playoffs, will receive tickets to the first round of the playoffs for free.
They also get a significant discount, 10 percent off the face value price, on their playoff tickets for the remaining three rounds.
The format for the 2011 Kelly Cup Playoffs is as follows:
- First Round – Best of five games. The higher seed gets to chose to play at home or on the road to begin the series.
- Second Round – Best of seven games. The higher seed plays up to four games at home if the series lasts all seven games.
- Third Round (Conference Final) – Best of seven games. The higher seed plays up to four games at home if the series lasts all seven games.
- Fourth Round (Kelly Cup Final) – Best of seven games. The higher seed plays up to four games at home if the series lasts all seven games.
Within that format, the Road Warriors can play a maximum of 15 home playoff games. For full information on pricing for Kelly Cup Playoffs packages and 2011-12 season ticket packages, fans should go to the BB&T Fan Services Table at any remaining Road Warriors home game. They can also call the Road Warriors at 864-674-PUCK to speak to a Road Warriors sales representative.
Tonight the Road Warriors host the South Carolina Stingrays at 7:05 p.m. at the BI-LO Center in their first ever “Stop Polio Cold” game. The Road Warriors will be wearing special “Stop Polio Cold” jerseys that will be auctioned off live following the game. A portion of the proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to the Rotary Club of Greenville to go towards their “End Polio Now” campaign which aims to eradicate polio worldwide. Fans can help the cause simply by showing up, as well, because $1 from every full-value/face-value walk up ticket will be donated to Rotary.
