WARRIORS LOOK TO BOUNCE BACK

GREENVILLE, SC The Greenville Road Warriors play their third game in as many days at home tonight when they host the Florida Everblades at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.

The Road Warriors (4-4-0) host Florida (3-6-1) tonight in the fifth game of an eight-game homestand for the Road Warriors. Greenville is off to a 3-1-0 at the midway point of the stretch after falling 7-3 to Reading last night. Two of the three wins have come against the Everblades back on Oct. 28 and 29. Florida is finishing up a nine-game road trip tonight after breaking a four game losing streak last night with a 1-0 win over the South Carolina Stingrays. With a win tonight the Road Warriors would improve their record against Florida to 3-0-0 on the season and 8-1-1 in their history at the BI-LO Center. The Road Warriors and Everblades have 11 games scheduled between them this season with three remaining at the BI-LO Center after tonight and five at Germain Arena in Estero, Florida.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Road Warriors have played the most home games of any team in the Eastern Conference at this point in the season while Florida’s 10 games played are tied for the most in the ECHL.
  • Four of Jeff Prough’s seven goals this season have been scored against the Reading Royals. He has been held to one point (an assist) so far this season by Florida.
  • With two assists last night, Brendan Connolly stretch his point streak to five games. As a Road Warrior he has put together three point streaks of five games or more. He is also now two points away from 100 in his ECHL career.
  • The Road Warriors have won each of the last three games in which their opponent has scored first, and has lost two of three in which they have scored the first goal.
  • Greenville enters the game tonight leading the league on the power play at 30.3 percent after going 2-for-3 last night against Reading. The Road Warriors have gone 8-for-20 over their last five games.
