TOSTI: Swamp Rabbits Announce Roster Moves

 Zborovskiy heads to AHL to join Wolf Pack while Greenville acquires Cote from Adirondack and Dodds off waivers.

Greenville, SCThe Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced several roster moves today. Swamp Rabbits defenseman Sergey Zborovskiy has been reassigned by the New York Rangers to the Hartford Wolf Pack resulting in his second AHL call-up of the season.
In addition, the Swamp Rabbits have also acquired defenseman Vytal Cote from the Adirondack Thunder for future considerations. Finally, the team claimed goaltender Greg Dodds off of waivers.

Zborovskiy, 20, earned the call to the AHL on Jan. 20 and played four games for the Wolf Pack during his first call-up. The rookie recorded four penalty minutes and a pair of shots on goal. In Greenville this season, Zborovskiy has collected 17 points (5G, 12A) in 39 games. The New York Rangers selected the 6-foot-4 blue-liner in the third round of the 2015 NHL Draft after skating with the Regina Pats in the WHL. The Moskva, Russia native played 198 games in the WHL, scoring 18 goals and adding 66 assists over three seasons.

Cote, 22, turned pro in 2016 and played 60 games in the SPHL before being signed by the Thunder on Nov. 29. The defenseman has played 26 games in Adirondack this season after beginning the year in Mississippi and tallying six points (3G, 3A) in 10 SPHL games. The Hollywood, Florida native has earned one assist and 60 penalty minutes in the ECHL. Cote played 159 games in the QMJHL from 2012-2015, earning 34 points (7G, 27A) and 204 PIMS.

Dodds, 25, attended training camp with the Swamp Rabbits and played in two preseason games. After leaving Greenville, Dodds played 11 SPHL games and split time between Pensacola and Macon. The rookie earned a 7-4-0-0 record and earned his first career shutout while posting a 2.13 goals against average and .932 save percentage. Dodds signed with the Fuel on Jan. 2 and the Wingham, Ontario native proceeded to play five games in Indianapolis.  The 6-foot-2 netminder started a pair of games and entered three others in relief. Overall, Dodds collected a 1-1-0-0 record, 3.09 goals against average, and .932 save percentage with the Fuel. Dodds has played the last four seasons in at the University of Western Ontario and appeared in 68 games, earning a 37-26-0 record with the Mustangs.
