CRAWFORD: WOLF PACK WEEKLY: November 5-11, 2018

HARTFORD, CT – The Wolf Pack (5-7-1-1, 12 pts., .429) banked three of a possible six points last weekend, in their first three-games-in-three-days stretch of the season.  All three games were on the road, and the first was Friday night at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.  Lias Andersson had Hartford’s first three-point game of the season, with a goal and two assists, but that was not enough to overcome the Penguins in a 5-3 loss.  In a rematch the next night, Steven Fogarty scored twice, and Bobby Butler netted the game-winner, in a 3-2 Wolf Pack victory.  The trip concluded in Hershey on Sunday with a 2-1 shootout loss to the Bears.  Matt Beleskey’s first goal of the year was the only Wolf Pack score in that one, and Marek Mazanec stopped six Bear shootout attempts but was outdueled in the seven-round shootout by Hershey’s Parker Milner.

This week: The Wolf Pack finish off a stretch of five straight road games Friday night in Utica, with a 7:00 PM date with the Comets, and then start a run of five in a row and seven out of eight at home Saturday night, as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton visits the XL Center for a 7:00 game.

Friday, November 9 at the Utica Comets (Vancouver) at the Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, 7:00 PM

• This is the first of four battles on the year between the Wolf Pack and the Comets, who also met four times last season.  The Wolf Pack won three of those four contests, including both of their road games in the season series.
• The Comets, who are 5-6-1-0 (11 pts., .458) thus far on the season, have gone 4-1-1-0 on the road but have won only one of their six home games.
• Reid Boucher has been Utica’s top threat to date, with 9-3-12 in only eight games, good for third in the AHL in goals.

Saturday, November 10 vs. the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (Pittsburgh) at the XL Center, 7:00 PM

• This is the Wolf Pack’s “Country Night”, loaded with down-home fun and good ol’ country tunes.
• This is the third meeting in nine days between the Wolf Pack and Penguins, who split a pair of games in Wilkes-Barre this past weekend.
• After their split with the Wolf Pack at home, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton lost 8-5 in Bridgeport on Sunday, in their first of five straight road games.
• Zach Aston-Reese had a hat trick and an assist for the Penguins in their Sunday defeat at Bridgeport, and team points leader Garrett Wilson (6-5-11) scored twice and added an assist.
• At this and every Wolf Pack home game, fans are encouraged to come early for “Hockey Happy Hour” in the Comcast Coliseum Club.  Enjoy $2 beers and $5 appetizers from 5:00 PM until puck drop.

The Wolf Pack’s annual “Sonar’s Edu-skate” school-day game is coming up Wednesday, November 14 vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, with faceoff at 11:00 AM.  Lots of educational fun will be on tap throughout the day, and for information on bringing a school group to the Edu-Skate game, contact the Wolf Pack ticket office at (855) 762-6451.

Once again this season, fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs, and $2 draft beers and fountain sodas, at every Friday Wolf Pack home game, through the start of the second period, presented by Nomads Adventure Quest.  The Wolf Pack’s next Friday home date is December 7, when they host the Charlotte Checkers in a 7:15 PM game.

Each of the Wolf Pack’s Sunday and Wednesday home games will feature the Wolf Pack’s “Click It or Ticket Family Value Pack”.  The Family Value Pack includes two tickets, two sodas, and two hot dogs, all for just $40.  The next Family Value Pack game is the Wolf Pack’s “Sonar’s Edu-skate” school-day game, Wednesday, November 14, when the Bridgeport Sound Tigers visit for an 11:00 AM faceoff.

Every Wolf Pack Wednesday home game is a “Winning Wednesday”.  If the Wolf Pack win at home on a Wednesday, fans can show their Winning Wednesday ticket at the Agera Energy Ticket Office at the XL Center and receive a free ticket to the next Wednesday Wolf Pack home game (some restrictions apply).  The Wolf Pack’s next Wednesday home outing is November 14, the 11:00 AM “Sonar’s Edu-skate” game vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
