NEW YORK RANGERS POST-GAME NOTES AND QUOTES

• The Rangers defeated the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2, tonight at Madison Square Garden, to improve to 6-4-1 overall, including a 2-3-1 mark at home.
• The Blueshirts were credited with 35 hits and 33 blocked shots in the contest, led by Steve Eminger’s game-high, six hits and Dan Girardi’s six blocked shots.  The Rangers now lead the league in both hits and blocked shots, registering 327 hits and 223 blocked shots on the season, while Girardi is tied for the NHL lead with 41 blocked shots on the season.
• New York notched one goal in three power play opportunities (5:00), and have now tallied five goals on the man advantage in the last six games (5-23, 21.7% over the span).
• Brandon Dubinsky tallied two straight goals, including a power play tally 55 seconds into the third period, and has now registered seven points (four goals, three assists) in the last six games.  He is currently tied for fourth in the NHL with seven goals on the season, and is tied for the team lead with four multi-point performances.  Dubinsky also won a team-high, nine face-offs in 12 attempts (75%), and led all Rangers’ forwards with 22:02 of ice time.
• Ryan Callahan recorded two assists, picking up an assist on both of Dubinsky’s goals, to extend his scoring streak to a career-high, seven games (four goals, seven assists over the span).  He is tied with Dubinsky for the team lead with four multi-point efforts on the season, including four of the last five games during the streak.  Callahan also registered five hits and tied for the game-high with six blocked shots, and now ranks fourth in the NHL with 42 hits and leads all league forwards with 20 blocked shots on the season.
• Artem Anisimov tallied two assists, including one on the power play, and recorded four blocked shots in 18:13 of ice time.  Anisimov has now registered six points (two goals, four assists) in the last seven games, including five assists in the last five contests.
• Henrik Lundqvist stopped 33 of 35 shots to improve to 5-3-1 overall, including a 2-2-1 mark at home.  Lundqvist, who is now 36-17-11 against Original Six opponents in his career, has stopped 30 or more shots in seven of his nine appearances this season.  He is now 4-1-0 in his last five starts, registering a 1.82 goals against average, .949 save percentage and one shutout over the span.
• Erik Christensen notched the game winning goal at 6:36 of the third period, just 28 seconds after Chicago’s Patrick Kane tied the score at two goals apiece.  The goal was assisted by Brandon Prust and Michael Del Zotto.  Prust has now recorded an assist in each of the last two games.  Del Zotto, who was a plus-one in the contest, has registered a plus or even rating in each of the last six games (plus-five over the span).
• After an off day tomorrow, the Blueshirts’ practice schedule for Wednesday, November 3, is 10:30 a.m. at the MSG Training Center.
• The Rangers will return to action when they face-off against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday, November 4, at the Wells Fargo Center (7:00 p.m.), in the first game of a back-to-back set against Atlantic Division opponents. The game will be televised live on MSG Network, and can be heard on Bloomberg Radio.
