Greenville Road WarriorsPRINCETON, N.J. – Dov Grumet-Morris of the Greenville Road Warriors is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 29-Dec. 5.

The 28 year old was 3-0-0 with one shutout, a goals-against average of 0.67 and a save percentage of .976 in three games last week. He turned aside 21 of 22 shots on Thursday in a 7-1 victory against Gwinnett and stopped all 26 shots in a 2-0 shutout at South Carolina on Saturday. Grumet-Morris ended the week with 35 saves in a 5-1 victory at Gwinnett on Sunday.

Grumet-Morris is 8-2-0 with two shutouts, a goals-against average of 2.10 and a save percentage of .932 in 10 appearances for the Road Warriors this season. He is second in the ECHL in goals-against average, tied for second in wins, and tied for third in save percentage.

The native of Evanston, Illinois was a fifth round selection of the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Grumet-Morris has appeared in 58 games for Cincinnati and Greenville since 2006 with a record of 39-13-4, a goals-against average of 2.48 and a save percentage of .915.

He has appeared in 29 games with Portland, Hamilton, Milwaukee, Manitoba, Connecticut and San Antonio of the AHL since 2005 posting a record of 8-13-5. He has appeared in two games for Connecticut this season with a record of 0-1-0, a goals-against average of 1.32 and a save percentage of .935.

Grumet-Morris is the third Road Warrior to win a league award this season. Brendan Connolly was named ECHL Player of the Month for November and Nic Riopel was named Goalie of the Week for the week of October 25 – 31.

Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors return to home ice for three games next week.. They take on Gwinnett on Tuesday, December 14 with the Road Warriors offering their Twofer Tuesday for the first time this season. The deal gives you two center-ice tickets, two hot dogs, two sodas, and two boxes of popcorn for just $30! On Wednesday, December 15 the Road Warriors face the Florida Everblades. On tap that night is a military gift drive. For anyone who brings an acceptable gift to ship to our troops overseas the Road Warriors will reward fans with a buy-one-get-one free ticket coupon to that night’s game. Finally on Friday, December 17 Greenville squares off with Gwinnett in the Road Warriors’ first-ever Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new, or gently used, and unwrapped stuffed animal to the game and toss it onto the ice after the Road Warriors score their first goal. All the tossed toys will be donated to the local chapter of Toys for Tots. Great group seats remain available for the games so call a Road Warriors group sales representative at 864-674-PUCK for more information. All three games next week begin at 7:05 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.
