ESTERO, FL –The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that forward Andrew Carroll has been returned by the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.
Carroll was loaned to Abbotsford on November 5, 2010 after beginning the season with the Road Warriors. At the time of his call up Carroll was leading the Road Warriors in points (8) and goals (6) through five games. He returns to the Road Warriors with a four-game goal streak (6G) and a four-game point streak (6G, 2A) intact. Carroll skated in 13 games in his time with the Heat and registered two points (1G, 1A) along with four penalty minutes. It was Carroll’s second stint in the AHL after spending four games (zero points, seven penalty minutes) with the Hartford Wolf Pack last season.
Additionally, the Road Warriors announced today that forward Garrett Klotz has been recalled from his loan to the team by the Adirondack Phantoms of the AHL. Klotz skated in three games with the Road Warriors but did not score a point or register any penalty minutes.
Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors return to home ice for three games next week.. They take on Gwinnett on Tuesday, December 14 with the Road Warriors offering their Twofer Tuesday for the first time this season. All the tossed toys will be donated to the local chapter of Toys for Tots.
