Greenville Road WarriorsBRENDAN CONNOLLY RETURNED BY ADIRONDACK; JULIEN BROUILLETTE LOANED TO LAKE ERIE

GREENVILLE, SC –The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that Brendan Connolly has been returned to the team from the Adirondack Phantoms and Julien Brouillette has been loaned to the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL. The Road Warriors also signed a back up goalie with Brian Stewart recalled to the Phantoms.

In his first career AHL action Connolly skated in three games and registered two shots on goal with the Phantoms. Before being called up to the Phantoms, Connolly was named the ECHL Reebok Player-of-the-Month and the ECHL’s Plus Performer of the Month with a +12 rating in November. Connolly recorded a 12-game point streak from 11/11 – 12/02 before his call up. Connolly’s 13 goals rank third in the ECHL and his 27 points (13G, 14A) rank him seventh overall in the ECHL.

Brouillette received his second call up to the AHL this season. Brouillette currently leads the ECHL in plus/minus with +16 and is tied for fifth with 11 goals. Brouillette registered six points (2G, 4A) in three games from 11/24/10 to 11/26/10.

The Road Warriors have also signed Mike Spillane from the Southern Professional Hockey League to backup current Road Warriors goalie Dov Grumet-Morris. Spillane appeared in five games with the Fayetteville FireAntz recording three wins with a 2.35 GAA. Spillane played four years at the University of Vermont appearing in 32 games with a record of 14-8-5.

Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors are back on home ice for three games next week on December 14, 15, and 17 all at 7:05 p.m. at the BI-LO Center. There are great holiday events scheduled each night with the Twofer Tuesday on the 14th, a gift drive for military serving overseas on the 15th, and the Road Warriors’ inaugural Teddy Bear Toss on the 17th. There is great group seating still available to each game for your group of 10 or more. Groups enjoy discounts off the box office price, preferred seating based on availability, and other great benefits.
