• The Rangers defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs, 7-0, tonight at Madison Square Garden to improve to 27-18-3 overall, including a 12-10-2 mark at home.  New York has registered a point in 22 of their last 33 games (20-11-2), and is 10-5-1 in their last 16 games at home.
• The Blueshirts completed the season series against Toronto with a 3-0-1 record, out-scoring the Maple Leafs, 14-5, in four games.  Over the last two seasons, the Rangers have posted a record of 6-0-2, and have out-scored Toronto, 32-12, in eight games.
• New York’s seven-goal margin of victory tied their season-high, set on December 12 vs. Washington (7-0).  The Rangers tallied four goals in the first period of tonight’s contest, which also tied a season-high (Nov. 14 vs. Edmonton, Second Period; Dec. 12 vs. Washington, Second Period).
• Five Rangers registered multi-point efforts, and seven Blueshirts posted a plus-two or better rating.
• Marian Gaborik tied his career-high (2002-03) with his third hat trick of the season, and 13th of his career, with four goals, added one assist, and posted a plus-three rating and a game-high, seven shots on goal.  Gaborik’s three hat tricks is the most by a Ranger in a single season since Jaromir Jagr posted three hat tricks during the 2005-06 season.  The last Ranger to tally four goals in a game was Radek Dvorak on Mar. 29, 2001 at Long Island, and the last Blueshirt to register five points in a single game was Mike York on Jan. 23, 2002 vs. Boston (two goals, three assists).
• The Rangers have now registered four hat tricks this season (Derek Stepan, Marian Gaborik – 3), which is the most for the team since the 2005-06 season (Jaromir Jagr – 3, Martin Straka).
• Henrik Lundqvist turned aside 22 shots to record his seventh shutout of the season, and 31st of his career.  He improved to 20-14-3 overall with an 8-7-2 mark at home, and is now 13-6-2 with a 1.69 goals against average, a .940 save percentage and five shutouts in his last 21 games.  With the shutout, Lundqvist passed Jon Ross Roach for third on the Rangers’ all-time career regular season shutouts list (31), and moved ahead of Mike Richter for fourth on the Rangers’ all-time career shutouts list (regular season + playoffs) with 34.  He is now tied for the league lead with seven shutouts on the season.  The seven shutouts also ties Lundqvist’s career-high (2007-08).
• Lundqvist also registered his 20th win of the season, and has now posted at least 20 wins in each of his six NHL seasons.  He is the third goalie in NHL history to record 20 or more wins in their first six seasons (Bill Durnan, 7 seasons from 1943 to 1949; George Hainsworth, 6 seasons from 1926 to 1931).  Lundqvist now owns the second longest active streak of 20-plus win seasons (six), behind Vancouver’s Roberto Luongo (eight).
• Artem Anisimov tallied a career-high, four assists, and tied his career-high with a plus-three rating to capture second star honors.  His four assists were the most by a Ranger since Marian Gaborik recorded four assists on Jan. 19, 2010 in an 8-2 win vs. Tampa Bay.
• Sean Avery tied his career-highs with three assists and a plus-three rating.  He has now registered 14 points (six goals, eight assists) and a plus-11 rating in 14 career regular season games vs. Toronto.  The Rangers improved to 117-74-30 in 221 games with him in the lineup since originally being acquired on Feb. 5, 2007.
• Marc Staal tied his career-high with two assists, including the primary assist on Boyle’s power play goal at 12:45 of the first period, was credited with four blocked shots and posted a plus-four rating.  He now leads the team with a plus-12 rating on the season.
• Wojtek Wolski registered two assists, including one on Gaborik’s power play goal at 14:44 of the second period.  He has now recorded five points (two goals, three assists) in five games as a Ranger, including four points (one goal, three assists) in the last two contests.
• Mats Zuccarello capped off the game’s scoring with the Rangers’ seventh goal of the contest, at 0:53 in the third period, to extend his scoring streak to three games (two goals, two assists over the span).
• Brian Boyle notched a power play goal at 12:45 of the first period, and has now registered 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in the last 21 games.
• Ruslan Fedotenko registered an even strength goal at 15:40 of the first period, before leaving the contest in the second period with a shoulder injury.  The Rangers improved to 8-0-1 when he tallies a goal, and are 12-2-2 when he registers a point.
• Derek Stepan and Brandon Prust each recorded an assist in the contest.  Stepan extended his assist/point streak to three games, registering one goal and three assists over the span.  Prust has now tallied two assists in the last three games.
• Dan Girardi led all skaters with six blocked shots and posted a plus-two rating in the contest.
• Dale Weise was credited with a team-high, seven hits and logged a season-high, 12:53 of ice time.
• New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced tonight that forward Brodie Dupont has been recalled from the Connecticut Whale of the American Hockey League (AHL).  Dupont, 23, has registered eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points, along with 54 penalty minutes in 40 games with Connecticut this season.  He has tallied eight points (five goals, three assists) in the last 11 games, including three goals in the last five games.  He is currently tied for fifth on the Whale in goals and sixth in assists, and ranks seventh in points.  The Russell, Manitoba native was originally selected as the Rangers’ third round choice, 66th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
