GREENVILLE GUYS MOVING ABOUT 

Greenville Road WarriorsGREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that forward Stefan Legein has been reassigned to the team by the Philadelphia Flyers from Adirondack of the American Hockey League. Additionally, Andrew Carroll has been loaned to the AHL’s Hershey Bears.

A third-year pro from Oakville, Ontario, Legein will be making his ECHL debut tonight. He began this season with the Phantoms and produced 13 points (5G, 8A) in 31 games for the Road Warriors’ affiliate. Last season he finished second on the Phantoms with 24 goals in 71 games. For his career the 22-year-old Legein has appeared in 134 AHL games and earned 51 points (32G, 19A) and 76 penalty minutes. Prior to turning pro he spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League between Mississauga and Niagara. At the major junior level, Legein produced 136 points (77G, 59A) and 333 penalty minutes in 202 games.

Carroll joins the Bears for his second tour of duty in Chocolatetown and fourth overall in the AHL this season. The second-year pro had a goal and two assists to lead the Road Warriors in their 3-1 win over South Carolina last night. For the season Carroll has 15 points (10G, 5A) in 17 games with the Road Warriors and five points (2G, 3A) over 29 AHL games with Abbotsford, Peoria, and Hershey.

Tonight the Road Warriors are hosting their first-ever Scout Night. Thousands of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from around the Upstate will be in attendance and get special patches for joining the Road Warriors tonight. After the game, scouts will get to watch the movie “Miracle” on the BI-LO Center video board before settling in for a campout on the BI-LO Center concourse.
