GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that they are looking for talented, enthusiastic men and women to be a part of their game night staff for the 2011-12 season.
A night out at the Road Warriors game is about more than just the action on the ice; it’s about family friendly entertainment from the moment you enter the BI-LO Center. The Road Warriors are now trying to find the right people to take the in-game entertainment experience to the next level. Do you think you have what it takes to get ROWDY as the Road Warriors’ mascot, “Rowdy?” Maybe you’d rather help pump up the crowd as part of the Road Crew, or keep the fans in the know as the public address announcer. All of those opportunities are available to those who would like to audition.
Rowdy the Road Hog Auditions:
When: Friday, September 16, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Where: The Pavilion – 400 Scottswood Road, Taylors, SC 29687
What: Tryouts will be judged on improv, prop use, and athletic ability. We ask each
candidate to please come with the following prepared:

One minute performance skit/dance to the music of your choice.

Resume, Application, Waiver and Headshot (does not need to be professional).
Who: Men and women over 18 years old by September 1, 2011 and a high school graduate. Also must be between 5-5 and 6-2 in height.

Road Crew Team Sign-ups:
When: Now through September 13, 2011

What: The Road Crew is responsible for getting the crowd at all Road Warriors home games energized and ROWDY! It will recruit fans for in-game contests, manage all promotions on and off the ice, assist Rowdy the Road Hog throughout the game, and much more
Who: Men and Women aged 18 and older
How: Submit your name, email address, phone number, and email to Megan Dotson at megan.dotson@greenvilleroadwarriors.com or by calling 864-250-4844.
Interviews for the Road Crew begin September 17, 2011. Times will be determined.
Road Warriors Public Address Announcer:
When: The top announcers who submit materials will be invited to audition on an individual basis.
Where: CD or DVD demos along with resume, and cover letter can be sent to Megan Dotson by mail at PO Box 85, Greenville, SC 29602.
What: The Road Warriors’ public address announcer is responsible for announcing all pre-game and in-game activities during Road Warriors home games at the BI-LO Center including regular season, pre-season, and playoffs.
Who: Men and women who are articulate, have high energy, and are experienced behind a microphone are encouraged to apply.
National Anthem Auditions:
When: Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Where: Hilton Greenville – 45 W. Orchard Park Dr., Greenville, SC 29615
What: Auditioners will be required to perform “The Star Spangled Banner” in its entirety.
Who: Individuals, groups, and instrumental performers are all invited to attend. Singers will be required to perform the song acapella.
