ESTERO, FL – The Greenville Road Warriors begin a seven-game road trip tonight with their first visit of the season to Germain Arena to take on the Florida Everblades.

The Road Warriors (7-5-0) visit Florida (6-7-1) tonight for the fourth of 11 scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at www.greenvilleroadwarriors.com.

The Road Warriors are 2-1-0 this season against Florida but dropped the most recent meeting by a 5-2 score on November 5 in Greenville. Tonight is Greenville’s first of five games at Germain Arena this season, and the Road Warriors are looking to continue their success in Florida from last season. In their inaugural campaign, the Road Warriors were 5-1-2 in games at Florida. Greenville and Florida are two of the hottest teams going in the ECHL right now. The Road Warriors bring a three game winning streak into the contest and have won seven of their last nine overall. Florida, meanwhile, has won four of its last five including taking two of three games from the Wheeling Nailers, who have the best win percentage in the conference, last weekend.

Who: Greenville Road Warriors at Florida Everblades
What: Away Game #3, Season Game #13
When: 7:30 p.m.
Where: Germain Arena, 11000 Everblades Parkway, Estero, FL 33928
NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Road Warriors are 6-2-0 against South Division opponents so far this season. Their six wins are tied for second most in the league against divisional opponents (CHI – 7, KAL – 6).

  • Greenville has played the fewest road games (2) of any ECHL team at this point in the season. Tonight marks the start of a season-long seven game road trip for the Warriors.
  • The Road Warriors are tied for the fourth most third-period goals in the ECHL with 15 so far this season. Florida has given up the second most third period goals at 18.
  • The Road Warriors have a team goals-against average of 1.33 over their current three game winning streak. They are 6-1-0 this season when holding opponents to three goals or less, but are giving up an average of four/game against Florida.
