SECOND OF THREE-IN-THREE FOR ROAD WARRIORS

GREENVILLE, SC Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors play the middle game of a weekend three-in-three as they host the Florida Everblades. Faceoff is set for 7:05 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.

The Road Warriors (14-8-0) host Florida (12-13-2) tonight for the seventh of 11 scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at  www.greenvilleroadwarriors.com. Greenville will try to build off of last night’s 3-0 win over Florida and continue to close the gap on South Carolina and Gwinnett in the South Division standings. Florida, meanwhile, is trying to turn around its fortunes as last night’s loss extended its losing streak to three. The Everblades have lost four of their last five games overall.

Tonight the Road Warriors are having a benefit for the South Carolina Foothills Search and Rescue which has been helping the Road Warriors in their recent search for Rowdy the Road Hog. Fans can purchase chuck-a-pucks from Foothills Search and Rescue to benefit the all volunteer team. Fans can also participate in the search for Rowdy as the Road Warriors continue to try to track down their missing mascot.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • The Road Warriors have the second-best power play in the league at 25.6 percent despite having the fewest power play chances in the league with 90.
  • Rookie Kale Kerbashian has found a knack for scoring big goals for the Road Warriors. Of the four that he has scored on the season, two have been game winners.
  • Greenville is 10-3-0 since November 10 and have out-scored opponents 43-29 over that span.
  • Brandon Wong leads the Road Warriors against Florida in goals (4), points (7) and +/- (+8). That accounts for all of his goals and 70 percent of his points in 11-12.
  • Greenville has held opponents to two goals or fewer in each of its last six home games. For the season, the Road Warriors have a 2.8 goals-against average at home.
