GREENVILLE, SC – Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors host the Reading Royals in their final game before a brief break over the Christmas holiday. The Road Warriors will try to extend their streak of six straight games with at least one standings point (4-0-2).

The Road Warriors (15-8-2) host Reading (11-12-5) tonight for the fourth of six scheduled meetings between the clubs. Fans can follow the action by watching live on America One or listening at  greenvilleroadwarriors.com. Greenville is looking for its first win of the season against Reading after suffering 3-2 and 7-3 setbacks in Greenville on October 15 and November 4, respectively and the overtime defeat last night. The Royals, meanwhile, have won three in a row and four of their last five after enduring a nine-game winless streak from November 18 to Dec. 8. The Road Warriors are averaging 43.67 shots per game against Reading this season but have been limited to seven goals in the three games.

Tonight the Road Warriors are offering the Spinx Family Four Pack which features four tickets, four hot dogs, four fountain drinks, and four bags of chips for just $48! Santa will also be at the BI-LO Center tonight to have his picture taken with children.

Who: Greenville Road Warriors vs. Reading Royals
What: Home Game #16, Season Game #26
When: 7:35 p.m.
Where: BI-LO Center, 650 N. Academy St., Greenville, SC 29601

  • Greenville’s nine home wins are tied with Elmira, S.C. and Cincinnati for the most in the Eastern Conference. Only Alaska (14) and Las Vegas (11) have more home wins than the Road Warriors.
  • The Road Warriors are 0-3-1 against Atlantic Division teams this season but are 15-5-1 against the South and North.
  • Justin Bowers leads the league in power play assists with 11. He has one PP assist and three points (1G, 2A) against the Royals. Reading’s Denny Urban is tied with him for the league lead.
  • Defenseman T.J. Reynolds leads the Road Warriors in +/- at +11 and is tied for the seventh best +/- rating in the league. He has been even or better for each of the last 11 games.

Mark your calendars! The Road Warriors return home to face the South Carolina Stingrays on Tuesday, December 27 at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.
