GREENVILLE, SC – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and AHL’s Ontario Reign, announced via a Swamp Rabbit Moving Transaction that Nick Dineen has signed an ECHL SPC ahead of today’s weekend finale against the Savannah Ghost Pirates.
Dineen joins the Swamp Rabbits for his ECHL debut after starting off the season with the SPHL’s Macon Mayhem. The 6’0″, 201-pound blueliner played one game thus far, building off of a 50-game, 5-assist campaign last season that ended with a first-round loss to the eventual Presidents’ Cup runner-up Peoria Rivermen.
From Raleigh, NC, Dineen, 25, began his SPHL career after four seasons in NCAA Division 3 with Stevenson University, earning 23 points (3g-20ast) in 98 games along with the 2025 MAC Championship. Before college, Dineen played in the NAHL with the Amarillo Bulls and New Jersey Junior Titans, logging 16 points in 102 games.
The Swamp Rabbits conclude their three-game weekend on the road in their first of eight meetings of the 2026-27 ECHL Season. Puck drop at Enmarket Arena is slated for 3:00 p.m. EST this afternoon.
