The Greenville Road Warriors, ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers, announced today that their inaugural training camp will begin this Wednesday, October 6 at the BI-LO Center in Greenville.
“I’m extremely excited to finally get going here in Greenville. I’m looking forward to teaching my players and seeing who will be good fits for the Greenville Road Warriors organization,” said Head Coach Dean Stork.
The Road Warriors are scheduled to take the ice at 10:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday. Players are scheduled to be divided into two groups with Group A on the ice from 10:00 until 11:00 and Group B from 11:20 until 12:20. Both sessions will be open to the public at no charge. The doors at the BI-LO Center will open at 9:30 a.m. and fans can enter through the VIP Entrance which is accessible by the parking lot off of N. Church Street. Wednesday’s sessions will be the only ones open to the public. On Wednesday evening the Road Warriors will board the bus to Estero, Florida and begin readying themselves for a pair of exhibition games against the Everblades on Friday, October 8 and Saturday, October 9. Friday’s game will face off at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday’s will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Greenville returns from Florida on the Sunday, October 10 to continue their camp at the BI-LO Center. Training camp will run until Friday, October 15, and then the team will begin preparing for its home opener on Thursday, October 21 against the Florida Everblades. The team has on-ice sessions scheduled daily at 10:00 a.m. from October 11 to 14. The Road Warriors will also host the South Carolina Stingrays for an exhibition game at the BI-LO Center on Tuesday, October 12 at 7:05 p.m. The game is free for Road Warriors season ticket holders while individual tickets are available for $6.00.
