GREENVILLE, SC – Tonight the Greenville Road Warriors finish an eight-game home stand by taking on their in-state rival South Carolina Stingrays. The puck drops at 7:35 p.m. at the BI-LO Center.
The Road Warriors (6-5-0) host South Carolina (8-4-1) tonight for the third of 16 scheduled meetings between the clubs. The Road Warriors pulled out a dramatic 2-1 win in a shootout in Greenville in the most recent meeting between the clubs last Saturday night. The Road Warriors trailed 1-0 until there was one minute left in the third period when Marc-Olivier Vallerand beat Philipp Grubauer with a backhand shot to tie the game. The win moved the Road Warriors to 2-0-0 against the Stingrays this season. Vallerand is looking to keep his recent hot streak going. He has three goals in his last two games and is second on the team with five goals. Tonight is a Two for Tuesday presented by BI-LO. Fans can show their BI-LO BONUSCARD at the Breakaway Honda Box Office at the BI-LO Center and receive a free ticket with the purchase of another ticket of equal value.
