The Greenville Road Warriors announced today that they have acquired forward Bretton Cameron from the Stockton Thunder in exchange for forward Max Campbell.
Cameron, 22, is in his second year of professional hockey after playing major juniors for four seasons with Medicine Hat of the Western Hockey League. He has logged 15 points (6G, 9A) and 69 penalty minutes in 34 games with Stockton this season. As a rookie with the Thunder in 2010-11, Cameron posted 31 points (16G, 15A) and 92 penalty minutes in 53 games. His 16 goals were second most among Thunder rookies and fourth overall on the club.
Before the start of his rookie season Cameron skated with the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2010 Prospects Camp and was also invited to training camp with the Hartford Wolf Pack. The 5-11, 185-pound winger has one assist in two American Hockey League games with Hartford/Connecticut.
