Tyler Doig was released from his Professional Try Out agreement today by the Wolf Pack sending the young forward back to Charlotte. This move means that the organization feels comfortable that right wing Dale Weise will be well enough to return to the lineup from his hand injury when the Pack resume play Friday night at home against the Lowell Devils.
Here’s the official release:
WOLF PACK RELEASE FORWARD TYLER DOIG FROM PTO
Hartford Wolf Pack general manager Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the team has released forward Tyler Doig from his Professional Tryout (PTO) agreement.
Doig was scoreless and even in two games, after signing a PTO with the Wolf Pack on Saturday. At the time of his joining the Wolf Pack from the ECHL’s Charlotte Checkers, Doig was tied for the ECHL lead in assists and stood fifth in the league in points, with 11 goals and 37 assists for 48 points in 40 games. Those totals were good for the Charlotte team lead in points and assists, and his 101 penalty minutes were second-most on the Checker club.
