POTTER BACK IN THE PACK

Headshot_potter
As mentioned this morning and now it's official, Corey Potter was returned by the Rangers to the Wolf Pack. Potter will be a huge help to the team as they have a killer schedule ahead. As we stated before, The Pack have to play 9 (7 away) games in 16 days and will play 14 games in 31 days in January. Their only major break is the five days off surrounding the AHL All-Star Game. Potter at the top of his game is a must if the team stands any chance of holding on to or improving their playoff position.

Here's the official release.

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that defenseman Corey Potter has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Potter, 24, has skated in one game with the Rangers this season. He made his NHL debut on December 7 vs. Calgary. The 6-3, 200-pounder registered two goals and nine assists for 11 points, along with 30 penalty minutes in 24 games with Hartford (AHL) prior to his recall on December 14. He ranked second on the team among defensemen in goals (two) and points (11), and was tied for second among Wolf Pack blueliners in assists (nine). The Lansing, Michigan native has recorded two multiple-point games this season, including a multiple-assist effort on October 22 at Worcester.
