Swamp Rabbits Announce 2017-18 Promotional Schedule
All 36 game promotions revealed featuring past fan favorites and introducing new exciting game nights!

Greenville, SC – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, announced the full promotional schedule for the 2017-18 regular season today. All 36 games at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena feature events, giveaways, or discounts including the return of some popular fan favorites.
Key Promotional Nights:
- Opening Weekend | Friday & Saturday, Oct. 13 & 14, 2017
- Two pregame fan fests begin each night at 5:30 p.m. to jumpstart the Swamp Rabbits eighth season in The Upstate. On Saturday, fans are encouraged to bring in new underwear, diapers, and other undergarments to throw onto the ice after the Swamp Rabbits score their first goal of the game. All items will be donated to a local charity.
- Star Wars / Non-Profit Night | Friday, Nov. 17, 2017
- Bring the force out to the Well join the Swamp Rabbits on a trip into a galaxy far, far away. We also will recognize the local non-profit organizations for their work in the community.
- Teddy Bear Toss / Sing for Santa | Friday, Dec. 15, 2017
- Fans are asked to bring new stuffed animals to the annual Teddy Bear Toss night presented by Bon Secours. Fans can then toss the furry friends onto the ice after Greenville’s first goal of the game with all of the toys collected being donated to Toys for Tots.
- Ugly Sweater Night | Friday, Dec. 22, 2017
- Get into the holiday spirit and wear your best (or worst) holiday sweater! Get $3 off an orange level ticket if you walk up to the Box Office wearing your sweater to the night of the game.
- Youth Jersey Giveaway Night | Friday, Dec. 29, 2017
- Be one of the first 1,000 fans 12 & under in the building and receive a unique Swamp Rabbits youth jersey!
- Pirates & Princesses Night | Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018
- Have your kids search for hidden treasure or wear a dress fit for royalty. Pirates and Princesses will be at the Well for this fun night and will feature a scavenger hunt around the arena!
- Stick it to Cancer Night | Friday, Jan. 19, 2018
- Join the Swamp Rabbits and Bon Secours in the fight against cancer as we continue the search for a cure and celebrate life and hope.
- Heroes Night | Saturday, Mar. 10, 2018
- Help us honor all military and first responders who serve our country and community while protecting us every day. Special recognition and festivities will take place throughout the game and a touch-a-truck event will be featured outside the arena prior to the game.
- Pucks-n-Paws / Craft Beer Night | Saturday, Mar. 24, 2018
- For one night only, you can bring man’s best friend to the arena for free! Also, enjoy our second annual pregame Craft Beer Festival on the Furman Plaza packed with local breweries.
- Fan Appreciation Night | Friday, Apr. 6, 2018
- On this night, we give back to the fans. Come out early for a free pregame fan fest with inflatables, music, and street hockey. Then enjoy the final home game of the year for your chance at hundreds of giveaways throughout the night.
This season the Swamp Rabbits will be wearing specialty jerseys on four nights. They will be available in a live auction after the each game. Proceeds from the various auctions will benefit local charities.

Once again, the Swamp Rabbits dedication to education will continue as they partner with school districts from The Upstate and beyond. Elementary Education Day and Middle School STEM Day will get kids out of the classroom and into the game for a once in a lifetime field trip. For the first time, the Swamp Rabbits will have two Sing for Santa Games as schools are invited to sing the National Anthem and Christmas carols during the first intermission. During the season, students at participating schools will have the opportunity to earn a free ticket to Scholar’s Book Club Night, presented by Duke Energy, by reading three books in three weeks.
In addition to individual game promotions, the Swamp Rabbits will feature several season-long promotions. Every Tuesday and Thursday will be a “throwback” night (TBT) and feature a discounted 2-for-$20 ticket offer as well as discounted concession specials and concession value packages. After select Sunday games at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena, join the Swamp Rabbits on the ice for a Post-Game Skate.
