NEW YORK, November 18, 2018 – New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that the team has recalled forward Steven Fogarty from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Fogarty, 25, has skated in 19 games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering seven goals and seven assists for 14 points, along with 16 penalty minutes. He is tied for the team lead in goals, ranks second on the team in points and power play goals (three), and is tied for fourth on the team in shots on goal (38) this season. Fogarty has recorded a point in six of the last 11 games with the Wolf Pack, registering eight points (four goals, four assists) over the span, and he has tallied at least one point in 11 of 19 games this season.
In his career, the 6-3, 210-pounder has skated in 151 AHL games over parts of four seasons (2015-16 – 2018-19), all with the Wolf Pack, registering 23 goals and 32 assists for 55 points, along with 59 penalty minutes. Fogarty has skated in one NHL game in his career, as he made his NHL debut with the Rangers on Apr. 7, 2018 at Philadelphia.
The Chambersburg, Pennsylvania native was selected by the Rangers in the third round, 72nd overall, of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
