Hartford, CT – Defenseman Zac Jones, a rookie from defending national champion UMASS (HE), has been sent to Hartford to play for the Wolf Pack in the AHL.
Jones’s assignment to Hartford means that Nils Lundkvist wins the last spot in the New York Rangers defensive corps.
Jones will get solid playing time with the Pack.
Jones played high school hockey at Selects Academy at South Kent Prep.
The Rangers roster stands at 25 players, two from the mandated CBA limit. The Wolf Pack has 11 defensemen on their current roster.
