Julien Brouillette has been loaned to Hartford from the Charlotte Checkers and will join the Wolf Pack against Lowell this afternoon.
This begs two questions:
1) The Pack already have David Urquhart available on the defense which would mean if they need the Checkers top defensive prospect, then you would assume two guys are not able to go. Could Bobby Sanguinetti and Mathieu Dandenault have reinjured themselves?
2) The other question it begs to ask is, could a trade be being made that would cost the Pack a defenseman and they are being pulled off the ice?
Time will tell…
Here’s some info on Brouillette:
Brouillette, 23, leads all Checkers defensemen with 33 points (13g, 20a) and his 13 goals put him in a tie for second among all ECHL blueliners. He has played five AHL games with Providence and Hartford this season, registering one assist and two penalty minutes.
The native of St. Esprit, Quebec is in his second season with the Checkers. In 2008-09, he led all Charlotte defensemen in scoring with 29 points (11g, 18a).
