WOLF PACK ANNOUNCE 2008-09 HOME OPENER DATE, FIVE ADDITIONAL HOME DATES

Home Schedule to Kick Off Saturday, October 11th at XL Center

Northland AEG announced today that the Hartford Wolf Pack’s gala 2008-09 home opener will take place Saturday, October 11th at the XL Center.

That date is among six “prime” home-ice dates guaranteed to the Wolf Pack by the American Hockey League. The others are: Saturday, November 1st, Saturday, December 20th, Saturday, January 3rd, Friday, January 16th and Friday, January 30th.

The entire 2007-08 Wolf Pack schedule, including opponents and game times, will be announced later this month.

The winningest team in the AHL during the time period since they entered the league in 1997, the Wolf Pack are headed into their 12th season of action, coming off a franchise-record 110-point campaign in 2007-08. Last year also saw them tie a team mark for wins with 50.

The AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack is operated by Northland AEG LLC, a joint partnership between Northland Investment Corporation and AEG Facilities. The team is the top player-development affiliate of the NHL’s New York Rangers.
