Here’s all the news for what’s happening in Charlotte. The success of the Checkers is essential for the continued success of the Wolf Pack. This year many of the players from Charlotte have come up to Hartford and made big contribution to the team’s success. Tommy Pyatt has been red hot and Chris Holt is putting up some respectable numbers.

Last Week of Season to Heavily Impact South Division Playoffs
With less than a week remaining in the regular season, the playoff race in the South Division is heated.
The Checkers play four games this week against three opponents all jockeying for position in the South Division. The Checkers face Gwinnett tonight and Saturday, Columbia on Thursday and South Carolina on Friday – all teams that will move up or down in the South Division standings with each win or loss. Also in the mix are Florida and Augusta, both of which are fighting for positioning in the division as well.

Mitch Beck was a standup comedian and radio personality for over 25 years. His passion for hockey started with Team USA in 1980 when they defeated the Soviets at Lake Placid. He has also worked in hockey as a coach and administrator. He also works for USA Hockey as a Coach Developer. Mitch has been reporting on the New York Rangers, and exclusively on the Hartford Wolf Pack since 2005.
