Greenville’s forward signs AHL deal and will remain with Swamp Rabbits

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Charlotte Checker, AHL affiliate of the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, announced today that the club had signed forward Max Zimmer to a one-way contract.
Zimmer, 24, has appeared in 19 games for Greenville this season, amassing 17 points ( 9 goals, seven assists) and tabbing the team lead in game-winning goals with four. The Medina, MN native signed a professional try-out with the Checkers on four separate occasions, appearing in four games this season.
The Checkers also announced that Zimmer, Greenville’s third-leading scorer, will remain with the Swamp Rabbits, who are in action this evening against the Cincinnati Cyclones.
The Swamp Rabbits end 2021 with a 6:00 p.m. game against Cyclones at Heritage Bank Arena in Cincinnati before beginning 2022 with a January 1 meeting with the Orlando Solar Bears at 7:05 p.m. in Greenville at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
